Sales Development Representative, North America (HR Tech) role at Strada
Location: UK (fully remote)
The Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for producing and nurturing leads as well as advancing the sales process through prospecting exploration. The individual will conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through a host of different channels including telemarketing, digital and social selling, and other outreach vehicles. They will proactively follow up on all marketing originated leads from multi-touch campaigns but also originate their own leads based on set target lists. This role works in conjunction with the North American Payroll and Cloud Services teams and supports the regional field marketing team. The role requires constant engagement and collaboration with both parties as part of the lead and pipeline generation process.
- Direct outreach and follow-up on marketing originated/derived leads generated through external channels such as telemarketing, digital and social marketing/selling, and email marketing efforts.
- Carry out exploratory research and identify potential target accounts and decision makers within them against set target lists.
- Collaborate with sales and presales teams to refine sales approaches and angles.
- Create and deliver marketing qualified opportunities that can be handed off to sales and advanced based on predefined criteria.
- Support marketing efforts at trade shows, exhibits, and other events where there is an opportunity to interact with prospects.
- Leverage market insights and intent data to target the right prospect organizations at the right time.
- Influence direct-to-prospect campaigns and messaging based on interactions with prospects.
- Increase Strada's profile and awareness with prospects through key B2B social channels like LinkedIn and X.
Requirements
- Ideally at least 2–3 years of experience in a business or sales development role.
- Preferred experience in HR Tech/SaaS.
- Experience of the North American market. The successful candidate will align working hours to North America.
- Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong problem identification and objections handling skills.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Digitally savvy with experience using Sales Navigator and other outreach tools.
- Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce.
