We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Proposal Writer to come onboard and support the growth of our commercial function.
You will play a pivotal role in crafting persuasive, client-focused sales proposals that demonstrate the value of our ethical AI, research, training and consultancy solutions. Please note this is a hybrid position and attendance will be required occasionally to our Central London office. The successful candidate must be based in London, or within a reasonable commute.

What you will do
- Lead and coordinate the creation of compelling, client-tailored sales proposals, consistent with business objectives.
- Translate complex ideas from researchers, technical partners, and legal teams into clear, persuasive content.
- Collaborate across teams to gather insights and craft a strong, consistent voice in every proposal, aligned with brand and commercial strategy.
- Streamline proposal processes, manage timelines, centralise a library of reusable content, to ensure every submission meets the highest quality standards.
- Support sales and business development activities with capability statements, decks, and other materials.
- Monitor RFP portals, track market trends and emerging opportunities, and keep up to date on competitor messaging.
What you bring
- 2+ years’ experience as a proposal writer, bid writer, or commercial copywriter.
- Proven success in sales proposal or bid writing within commercial, consultancy, or tech environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Communications, Business, Marketing, or a relevant technical discipline).
- Exceptional English verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate and influence across departments and disciplines.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills tailored to persuasive, client-facing documents.
- Familiarity with commercial sales cycles, client onboarding, and pre-sales documentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and adapt to evolving requirements and client needs.
- Customer-focused and curious mindset with sensitivity to commercial tone and branding.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies.
- Interest in ethical innovation, cyber security and data protection, AI solutions.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Monday.com, Zoho Bigin).
- Experience with ethical AI, data protection, cyber security, or innovation consultancy work.
- Awareness of compliance and data protection considerations in sales proposals.
- Experience in technical, consultancy, or startup/scale-up environments.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline to support role requirements.
