We looking for an experienced SAP Environments Manager to join our growing Technology team on a permanent basis in either London or Colchester.

Joining a newly created team and reporting into the ERP Programme Director, the SAP Environments Manager will support our SAP transformation programme and BAU business requirements analysis, coordinating and managing the Test, Staging and Production environments. As SAP Environments Manager you will collaborate closely with all SAP members and the wider Technology Centres of Excellence teams to ensure environments are robust, sustainable and supportive of our highly complex and integrated application landscape.

The role

Key responsibilities

  • Taking full ownership of SAP environment management, ensuring stability, performance and continuous improvement through the programme alongside matching-up environments with requirements, calling out and negating bottlenecks and ensuring environments are fit for purpose.
  • Working with other Centre of Excellence to align multi-platform environments.
  • Identify and co-ordinate SAP test environments across the PRH application landscape.
  • Data housekeeping, interface maintenance and data refresh co-ordination.
  • Develop an understanding of data trend analytics in the SAP environments space.
  • Leading & co-ordinating triage for outages affecting Test Environments.
  • Making recommendations around the provision of soft/hard/middle ware.
  • Leading, co-ordinating and reporting deployment activities, including running deployment check-lists & countdown process.
  • Triage & management of post deployment issues.
  • Deliver a pragmatic approach to defending Live Service whilst meeting demands.
  • Design and implementation of appropriate change management processes.

What you’ll bring

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience as an Environments Manager, working with SAP applications and cloud technologies.
  • Strong experience in SAP ECC, SAP HANA DB and BTP.
  • Understanding of S/4 HANA, Concur and SAP Signavio.
  • Experience of working with SQL / MS Access / Selenium (or other reporting software).
  • Experience of working with Cloud / Virtual machine services (Azure/AWS).
  • DevOps experience (CI/CD, Pipelines, Branching, Merging, Terraform, ARM).
  • Ability to identify technical and process improvement opportunities and advocate to get them implemented.
  • Strong understanding of building workflows and processes around releasing code through multiple environments.
  • Experience of working in a relevant technical environment, preferably with front-end and legacy technologies.
  • Experience of building processes and implementing new ways of working.

Preferred criteria

  • Be capable of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and manage stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate complex information and use judgement to draw conclusions and make recommendations.

Salary

The salary for this opportunity is up to £70,000, depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus a generous bonus scheme and benefits.

Hybrid working

While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work either from our Embassy Gardens office in London or our Frating office in Colchester 2 days per week (typically Tuesday & Thursday).
