An exciting opportunity to work as an SAP Programme/Portfolio Manager within Capgemini’s SAP team, supporting one of our largest global clients. You will provide delivery and management of multiple SAP projects and programmes within a complex IT estate, and act as a mediator between client resources and executives to deliver client value and nurture the client/supplier relationship.

Hybrid working: The places you work from day to day will vary according to role, needs, and the business. It will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; you will not be able to work from home 100% of the time.

Your role

You will join Capgemini’s busy SAP team supporting clients. We deliver a wide range of SAP projects from small changes to multi-year deliveries (typical 80-90 engagements concurrently), focused principally on SAP Tax and Revenue Management. You will lead, govern and deliver a portfolio of complex projects or programmes using methodologies including Agile across multi-disciplined, highly skilled teams. You will work with senior clients to build relationships, manage expectations and develop new streams of work. You will contribute to commercial proposals, delivery priorities and plans, and manage risks and dependencies. You will mentor and develop people and participate in the Project Management community.

What you’ll do:

  • Governance of a portfolio of projects or a programme through the full lifecycle
  • Provide leadership and management of project and programme teams
  • Support new business development including development of commercial propositions
  • Be accountable for all aspects of delivery including risks, issues, scope, cost and timeline
  • Actively manage progress and financial reporting using best practice
  • Actively manages client relationships and expectations
  • Conduct client negotiations to agree terms for changes to scope to ensure commercial viability and realistic expectations
  • Deliver complex projects or a programme involving multiple teams and/or suppliers
  • Understand and operate the account strategy

Your Skills And Experience

  • Strong SAP delivery, leadership and people experience at scale and complexity
  • Established credentials and track record of SAP project delivery on multi-million pound budgets across multiple industries
  • Strong experience of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies
  • Recognised industry qualification such as PRINCE2
  • Good communicator with ability to influence, mentor and coach others
  • Proven ability to forge trusted client relationships in line with business objectives
  • Strong financial and commercial management
  • Ability to work independently within a client or competitive environment
  • Proven vendor/supplier management experience
  • Excellent consulting and customer-facing skills

Your security clearance

To be appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as country of residence and nationality.
