Here at Hitachi Rail we have a unique opportunity for an experienced SAP Quality Management Consultant who will support the business through the day-to-day management of the SAP Platform applications. This role operates in a fast-paced environment with regular collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.Provide 2nd/3rd line support for incidents reported to the service desk in line with SLA.Design & deliver technical/functional solutions against specifications and blueprints in accordance with agreed standards and proceduresComplete unit and integration testing of developments in line with agreed processes ensuring completion within allocated timescalesDeliver regular release items (problems and requests) understanding business requirements and completing the design, build, testing and deployment of functional components.For small projects, work with the solution lead to deliver overall solution track for the projectThe role communicates internally with business users and externally with SAP and with 3rd party partner that provides Basis ServicesSupport the acceptance and implementation of new functional solutions into the production environment ensuring relevant support documentation is available.Develop and deliver release notes and key user training for all new or enhanced application functionality.Co-ordinate and manage application of Security and other patches for SAP, OS and databasesSupport Audit activitiesComplete detailed solution documentation for technical solutionsProvide technical expertise in systems applications within a nominated functionKeep abreast of advances of available technologies and best practice to identify and exploit new opportunitiesTo be aware of and actively promote and implement Hitachi's ethos, culture and values.To be involved in Hitachi Rail Limited's staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.About youEssentialSubject Matter Expert for SAP QM ModuleVast experience in SAP QM functional Development / SupportVast experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environmentSpecific knowledge of SAP QM module including: Integration with MM/WM/PP Modules, QM Inspection Plans, Lot Inspections, Results Recording, Quality Notifications, QM Master Data, QM Inspection Methods, Project Stock, Serialised / Split Valuation Materials, Batch ManagementGood understanding of integration with other SAP modules.Completed at least 3 significant full systems implementation lifecyclesCompleted solution configuration for primary moduleOperated in multi-project, matrix managed environmentExperience of systems development and project management methodologiesUnderstanding of ASAP and experience in delivering solutions within ASAP methodologyExperience of Manufacturing/Service Management OrganisationsExcellent/effective communications skills to all levels of the organisationDesirableRelevant SAP module area certification is desirable.Degree Qualified in IT discipline or similar relevant subjectWhat we offerCompetitive salaryAnnual Performance bonus paid on discretionary basis.25 days holidayPension scheme with contributions up to 9%Private medical insurancePersonal Accident insuranceGroup Income protectionGroup Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWe also offer additional perks for you to choose from within a flexible plan that will meet your specific needs and lifestyle.We are signposted to: At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
