Overview

We’re looking for a dynam ic and hands-on Broking Team Leader to join the high-performing Schemes Team of a leading UK broker. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented team, drive operational excellence, and deliver outstanding client service across a diverse portfolio of scheme-based insurance solutions.

The Schemes Team is known for its energy, collaboration, and advice-led approach. They work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment — serving clients from sole traders to multi-site operations — and pride themselves on exceptional service, delivered entirely through remote communication.

The Role

• Lead, coach, and develop brokers in both the SME and Affinities teams
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring service levels, compliance, and workflows are on track
• Act as a key escalation point for complex queries and decision-making
• Support all aspects of broking activity — renewals, MTAs, new business, and client servicing
• Work closely with underwriting, compliance, claims, and finance to deliver seamless client outcomes
• Monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement positive change
• Cover two sites across Leicester and Northampton, which will require fairly regular travel

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience in a broking or insurance environment
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of FCA regulations and insurance principles
• Proficiency in broking systems and Microsoft Office

Desirable: Cert CII (or working towards it), experience across both personal and commercial lines, familiarity with Applied Epic, and a track record in driving continuous improvement.
