School Support Manager

GLF Schools has an exciting opportunity for a trust-wide School Support Manager, with experience in school office functions and a proven track record in providing operational support to school office teams. The successful candidate will work as part of GLF Schools' Business and Operations team, providing operational guidance to school leaders and office teams across the trust. The role covers a wide range of school office functions such as admissions, attendance, school trips, census, FSM/PP, and similar duties. The post can be based at any of our Trust offices, with opportunities for hybrid working, and travel to our 43 academies and the Trust office as needed. The role is full-time across the full year or Term Time plus 3 weeks, with consideration for flexible working arrangements. Please indicate your preferred working pattern in your application.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational guidance to school leaders and office teams across the trust.
- Deliver guidance, training, and support to school office staff on a range of office procedures.
- Support and develop generalist school business management capabilities, with knowledge across admissions, attendance, trips, census, FSM/PP, and related areas.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong operational experience in school settings with a solid understanding of school office functions and a proven track record of supporting or managing school administrative teams.
- Excellent IT proficiency including advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), familiarity with MIS and SharePoint, and ability to use digital tools to streamline processes.
- Leadership and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn the trust of school leaders and office teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Versatile school business management expertise with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems, policies, and staff training across various office procedures.

Salary, Benefits and Working Arrangements
- Starting salary of £33,426 FTE, with flexibility to negotiate for candidates who bring exceptional higher-level skills and experience. Full-time equivalent salary will be pro-rated based on actual hours agreed.
