Schools Budget Officer

Overview
SIPS Education are looking to appoint a Schools Budget Officer to provide financial advice and support to our schools and academies. We provide advice and support to schools and contribute to their effective financial reporting through:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, bank reconciliations and year end accounts.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Monitoring budgets and advise on variations.
- Preparing forecasts of likely financial position at year end.
- Maintenance of internal systems to enable reporting requirements to be met.
- Attendance and advisory support at meetings with Head Teachers and Governors.
- Supporting appropriate financial standards and reporting requirements.
- Preparing annual budget and cash flow statements.
- Assisting schools in the preparation of medium to long term budget projections.
- Offering advice and support to clients as required.
- Keeping up to date in relation to key financial developments.
The successful candidate will have a good, current, knowledge of School\'s finance and finance systems, excellent communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of Access and FMS would be an advantage however full training will be given. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
