Join to apply for the Schools Safeguarding Officer - North role at Witherslack Group. This is a remote role with travel across the North East and North West.

Salary

Up to £50,000, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and Head Teachers to ensure safeguarding practice is robust.
• Support schools and ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation and develop and deliver training for DSLs and staff.
• Conduct safeguarding audits and support actions plans resulting from findings.
• Give advice to DSLs and manage safeguarding record keeping.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience as a DSL in a school.
• Experience with early help or children's social care is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding policy and national legislation.
• Proven advisory and training skills.
