Security Architect

Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 6 months

Day Rate: Competitive, Outside IR35

A leading consultancy is seeking a Security Architect to join on a 6-month contract, focusing on delivering secure solutions across software, cloud, data, and AI platforms. This role will be based in Belfast, working closely with engineering and architecture teams to design and embed security best practices into complex, cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver security architecture for software, cloud, and AI/data solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling, and security design reviews.
• Embed security controls into development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Provide subject matter expertise on emerging risks in AI, data, and cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience as aSecurity Architect within cloud and software-focused environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in application and data security, AI/ML security, and cloud-native security.
• Experience with DevSecOps, containerisation, and zero trust principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or TOGAF.
• Background in consultancy or regulated industries.
