Overview We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee our company's accounting and financial operations. The Group Financial Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of internal and external financial reporting, promoting a strong control environment, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations, and overseeing the group AP and AR functions to deliver improvements to the cash operating cycle. What You Will Be Doing
Oversee all aspects of the company's financial and management accounting, tax, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Lead and mentor a team of 16 (4 direct reports), creating a highly collaborative and motivated work environment. Own all statutory processes, collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements. Establish and maintain accounting policy and internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Lead and supervise the accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial transactions, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes. Produce insightful management reporting and communicate business performance to stakeholders across the business, including the Group Board. Oversee efficient AR and AP operations, working to improve the cash operating cycle. Lead the company insurance posture, ensuring appropriate cover is in place. Drive improvements to financial processes, technology, and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What We Need From You
Expertise in all elements of the finance function demonstrated by a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification and relevant experience. Progressive experience in leading finance teams. Strong current knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and reporting standards. Experience leading the statutory accounting and tax compliance activity for an international group of entities. Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP (S4HANA) is advantageous. Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
