About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Semi-Senior Accounts to join a well-respected firm in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and is eager to develop their career in a supportive and growing environment.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Directors and Portfolio Managers to provide high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of SME clients. Your contribution will be vital in helping us maintain our reputation for excellence and forward-thinking business advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns for a variety of clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed to a high standard within agreed deadlines.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients, addressing queries professionally and with a service-driven approach.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting continuous improvement in our processes and client service.
  • Stay up to date with technical knowledge through ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

  • Part-qualified AAT, fully AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000, depending on experience.
