Senior Accessibility Consultant – Salary £65,000-£70,000 (12-month Fixed-Term Contract)We are currently recruiting a Senior Accessibility Consultant to be a part of our User-Centred Design Team at Aviva. This is a role in Aviva’s digital team and the successful candidate will have an opportunity to shape the strategy and vision for inclusive and accessible digital experiences. This role is great for someone who is passionate about accessibility and has demonstratable experience uplifting accessibility in large organisations.A bit about the job:As a member of the UCD team and wider Digital team, you will be working collaboratively with Product Designers, UX Writers, Researchers, Optimisation Managers, Product Owners and other digital colleagues. There will be variety day-to-day. You may be supporting projects as an accessibility SME, defining our processes and ways of working, attending inclusive user research sessions, consulting on the design system, creating learning materials and guidelines, and providing expert accessibility advice within working groups, forums, and committees.Skills and experience we’re looking for:Experience conducting accessibility assessments and reviews at all stages of the design and development lifecycle including early low-fidelity, detailed designs, and coded prototypes.Experience supporting design, content, development and testing teams with creating inclusive user journeys and components including delivery of complex interactions and components in a financial services setting.Expert knowledge of WCAG and other relevant accessibility guidelines and principlesWorking knowledge of screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition, and other assistive and adaptive technologies.Working or conceptual knowledge of web technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA and app technologies like React Native.
