Senior Account Director - Sustainability Reporting and Communications – Salary £55,000 - £75,000 p/a. London / UK remote. The agency specializes in sustainability strategy and reporting, with a creative communications offering. They provide services around sustainability strategy, reporting (both voluntary and for compliance), as well as communications, PR and content for a diverse client roster. The agency is well established and known for its consultative approach, high standards in corporate Sustainability Programmes and reporting compliance.

They are looking for a talented Sustainability Reporting Consultant at a Senior Account Director level, who also has some broader Communications experience, to work with global clients including some of the world’s leading brands and organisations. You’ll work with clients to understand their sustainability strategy, programme materiality and the metrics and frameworks around these, and produce high-calibre reporting that is compliant and tells the story of their journey. Experience with large-scale reports and frameworks such as GRI, IFRS S1 and S2, ESRS under CSRD, UNGPRF, and TCFD/SASB is required; integrated reporting experience would be a bonus. You’ll also have exposure to communications planning around the release of reporting targeted at different stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability reporting projects for global clients, ensuring compliance and clear storytelling.
• Understand client sustainability strategy, programme materiality and metrics; apply reporting frameworks (GRI, IFRS S1/S2, ESRS CSRD, UNGPRF, TCFD/SASB).
• Produce high-calibre reports and develop accompanying communications strategies for diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong project oversight, coordinating internal analysts, copy & creative teams, and client-facing stakeholders.
• Provide advisory support and client leadership, including networking and selling ideas and services.
• Adapt to varying client journeys, including involvement in sustainability strategy and multi-year reporting roadmaps (e.g., CSRD readiness).
• Mentor and lead project teams, write briefs, and review work with internal teams to produce outstanding reports and engaging sustainability communications (web content, social, and related marketing).
• Consult with clients on strategy and goals, delivering high-quality reports and communications for internal and external stakeholders, investors and other audiences.
• Lead new business discussions and contribute to proposals for prospective clients.

Qualifications

• Extremely strong client relationship builders with collaboration across internal teams.
• Experience leading global clients to deliver high-standard reporting and related marketing communications.
• Deep knowledge and passion for sustainability.
• Knowledgeable about international reporting frameworks and standards such as GRI, IFRS S1/S2, ESRS (CSRD), TCFD/SASB; familiarity with materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working with multiple clients across sectors and jurisdictions with differing requirements.
• Extremely organized, innovative, and excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy leading project teams and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Enjoy leading new business calls/meetings and developing proposals for prospective clients.
• Passion for sustainability reporting and awareness of latest developments in international legislation/frameworks.
• Enjoy consulting with clients about strategy and goals and creating outstanding reports and related communications for stakeholders and investors.
