Role Summary and Impact
Reporting into the Account Director, the Audio & Publishing (A&P) Senior Account Executive role is predominantly to support the team in the day‑to‑day running of client campaigns. You will have a basic understanding of the mechanics of both Audio and Publishing and the wider Media market, as well as be building an understanding of the principles of planning.
Through your experience as an Account Executive, you will have honed your skills as an A&P channel buyer and administrator of campaigns. You will have gained the confidence of your manager that you can work with zero errors and a proven track record that you have the skills to progress to be a more senior member of the A&P team.
You will be responsible for a range of tasks within the A&P Investment department, largely centred around administering and buying of Audio and Publishing; a fundamental understanding of the relevant tools necessary for the job - Prisma, JET, MedEx, Mediatel, Ad-Intel, eTelmar, Audio Planner etc with a basic understanding of the digital elements of the channels also necessary.

Skills Required:
- Detail orientated with strong analytical skills
- Highly numerate
- Excellent organisation and problem solving

- Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines

- Excellent interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and partners

- Proficient use of PowerPoint and Excel is necessary
- Basic knowledge of Investment planning tools (eg Mediatel, eTelmar) and understand their role in the planning process
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Increased ownership of planning and buying media campaigns whilst delivering against client objectives
- Actively negotiate and buy media efficiently, whilst building an increased understanding of results analysis
- Accurate Campaign set up and activation
- Preparation and sending out of relevant schedules and reports to Clients
- Ensure best practice buying approach across all the Accounts you work on. Being on top of buying admin is imperative. i.e. accuracy of all costs and reported numbers
- Basic negotiation experience required, supported by your Manager
- Support on response to briefs from the Planning Department
- Input into competitive analysis reports for clients
- Input into client PCA’s and reports for the clients you work on
- Ensure all financial procedures are adhered to, and your accounts are SOx compliant
- Work with your Manager on completing Value trackers and flag any time bookings need to be added to financial systems
- Generally, support your Manager in any ad hoc requests that come into the department
- Assist in the training, development, and management of the Executives in the A&P Team
- Attend client and media owner meetings in order to develop knowledge and communication skills
- Liaison with creative agencies and media owners regarding copy and delivery issues
