The Role

Senior Account Executive

Location: London HQ

Hybrid working and flexible hours: 4 days in the office and 1 WFH.

Novatus’ senior leadership team is recruiting for a highly intelligent, proactive, and ambitious Senior Account Executive to join our commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in RegTech, FinTech, or SaaS sales for the financial services sector, who is looking to accelerate their career in a high-growth, global business.

As part of our growth strategy, you will own the full sales cycle—from building new pipeline and closing new clients to expanding existing relationships. You’ll work closely with our Co-CEOs and Global Director of Product Marketing to align sales with go-to-market strategy and shape the future of our sales function, including mentoring and developing SDRs and BDRs as we scale.

This is a high-exposure role with regular collaboration with senior leadership and potential to influence commercial decisions and outcomes as we scale.

We are hiring across our sales function at all levels and encourage candidates to apply even if you don’t tick every box in the job description. If you’re excited about our mission and have relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and generate new pipeline by proactively identifying, prospecting, and converting new clients, while nurturing and expanding existing accounts.
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: from initial outreach, discovery, consultative selling, through to negotiation and closing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s regulatory and compliance challenges, tailoring SaaS solutions to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within banks, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to refine sales messaging, go-to-market campaigns, and client engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to the growth, mentoring, and development of SDRs and BDRs as the sales organisation scales.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and company growth by sharing market expertise and supporting cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting through CRM (Salesforce).
  • Represent Novatus Global at industry events, webinars, and client forums to drive brand visibility and new opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to position Novatus Global as a market leader.
  • Have proven experience in B2B SaaS sales, ideally in RegTech or FinTech, selling into financial services organisations.
  • Possess a strong track record of consistently achieving or exceeding quota.
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across complex organisations with consultative selling.
  • Be commercially astute with an analytical mindset to identify client pain points and map them to value-driven SaaS solutions.
  • Be ambitious, proactive, self-starting, and thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
  • Value collaboration, cross-functional work, and contributing to a positive, high-performance team culture.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a scale-up or Series A/B+ environment, with adaptability to changes in a maturing, high-growth business.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, ESG, operational risk).
  • Exposure to global markets (APAC, EMEA and US) and enterprise clients.

Why Join Us?

  • Join a Series B scale-up with momentum and market opportunity.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company solving critical challenges in financial services.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of our sales function as we grow.
  • Collaborative, global team with ambitious growth plans.
  • Significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence decisions.
  • Competitive salary, uncapped commission, and benefits package.
  • Private Medical Insurance (AXA) including mental health, dental, vision, and private GP access.
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Enhanced parental leave (maternity & paternity)
  • Fast career progression based on performance, not tenure
  • Holiday entitlement increases with tenure
  • Flexible hours with core collaboration time
  • Gym & fitness discounts
  • Monthly team lunches, quarterly socials, and office snacks & drinks
  • Interest-based working groups to collaborate and innovate
