The Senior Account Manager will play a key role in managing and growing client relationships, with a strong focus on writing compelling research proposals and securing new business. This position requires a balance of account management and commercial drive, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality insights while proactively developing opportunities to expand revenue and client partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring delivery of high-value insights and long-term satisfaction.
- Write and develop persuasive research proposals tailored to client needs, from initial briefing through to pitch and delivery.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within existing accounts and through prospecting new clients.
- Develop account plans to unlock growth opportunities, drive retention, and maintain a healthy pipeline.
- Broaden client engagement by introducing the full range of the company’s research and insight solutions.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver projects efficiently, on time, and on budget.
- Track performance against revenue targets, providing accurate forecasts and reporting.
- Act as a trusted advisor, presenting insights clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 4–6 years’ experience in market research, insights, or a related client-facing role.
- Strong track record in writing and winning research proposals.
- Proven ability to manage and grow client accounts while identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Solid understanding of research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, and emerging digital/AI approaches).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex insights.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally to deliver for clients.
