This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Account Manager to join a fast-growing organisation specialising in innovative orthopaedic and sports medicine solutions. Covering London and the Home Counties, you’ll play a key role in driving commercial growth, supporting surgeons, and delivering outstanding value to healthcare professionals.

About the Role

As Senior Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of your territory, managing key relationships across both NHS and private healthcare providers. You’ll combine strategic sales planning with hands‑on clinical engagement – supporting cases, providing training, and developing new business opportunities within knee, shoulder, and hip Sports Med portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets across your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan for Sports Medicine in the UK.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, and hospital stakeholders.
  • Deliver product training and in‑theatre support to clinical teams.
  • Identify and capitalise on local and regional business opportunities.
  • Lead tender processes, pricing strategies, and proposal development.
  • Collaborate with marketing and education teams to support product launches and promotional events.
  • Attend relevant trade shows, exhibitions, and training programmes in the UK and Europe.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor activity and market trends.
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in orthopaedic or medical device sales, ideally in Sports Medicine (Knee, Shoulder, Hip).
  • Proven track record in account management and new business development.
  • Experience working with NHS and private hospitals, including procurement and senior management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage margins, pricing, and P&L.
  • Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Degree‑level education (Life Sciences preferred but not essential).
  • Passionate about innovation, patient outcomes, and building long‑term customer partnerships.

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to advance your career within a dynamic and supportive environment that values both clinical expertise and commercial excellence. You’ll work with cutting‑edge orthopaedic technologies that help surgeons achieve better patient outcomes – while benefiting from professional development, autonomy, and recognition for your success.
