Reed Practice is recruiting for a Senior Accountant on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy firm based in Cheltenham. The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns
• Assist with corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC where necessary
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their development
• Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact
• Support partners with ad hoc projects and contribute to the firm’s continued growth

About You

You are ACA or ACCA qualified and:

• Have solid experience in general practice accounting within a UK accountancy firm
• Possess strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax principles
• Are confident managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members
• Have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Are proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office
• Thrive in a collaborative and professional team environment
