Overview

Role Description We're looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Senior Accounts Technician to join our accounts team. This role is available on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. As a Senior Accounts Technician, you will ensure all reporting is completed accurately and in a timely fashion to enable the completion of wider teams work. You will have excellent knowledge of the team's systems and processes and be the go-to person for queries, covering for the Team Leader in their absence. This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to be based at any one of our office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers the Monthly and Quarterly reporting in accordance with deadlines and standards as set by the team's customers.
  • Develops strong relationships with both internal and external customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their output meets their requirements.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert, providing input and challenge on changes that will have an impact on the accounting processes.
  • Builds an effective Control Framework for their area, ensuring all reconciliations and controls are completed accurately and on time.
  • Supports the Team Leader, mentors wider team, acting as a referral point for queries and covering when the Team Leader is away.
  • Sugg​esting and implementing process improvements within the team to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee and coordinate updates to the T&E Policy.
  • Develop and refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the offshore team to manage KPIs and improve quality.
  • Partner with Manager to automate and improve processes.
  • Strengthen the T&E review process in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Execute audit recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience of working within an Accounts Department.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other Office applications.
  • Understands how the business areas operate and how this translates into the financial transactions.
  • Good knowledge of the SAP and BEx systems and business systems that are used for the team's work.
  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Capable of mentoring peers within team.
