Senior Accredited Clinical Coder

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Accredited Clinical Coder to work remotely full-time. The successful candidate will abstract and analyse clinical information from digitised case notes and other relevant documents, translating it into diagnostic and operative procedure codes using current classifications.

The main duties of the job include:

  • Abstracting and analysing relevant clinical data from various sources.
  • Coding complex clinical data using national and international classifications.
  • Inputting coded clinical information into the Trust's patient information system.
  • Liaising with the data quality team to ensure correct episode data.
  • Working within deadlines to maintain a high quality of accuracy and completeness.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Accredited Clinical Coder status.
  • Formal Clinical Coding training.
  • NHS Coding Experience within an Acute Trust setting.
  • Extensive experience of PAS systems.
