Job Title: Senior Air Quality Consultant

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid/Remote)

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join its expanding Birmingham team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional to step into a senior role, delivering complex air quality assessments, mentoring junior colleagues, and managing client relationships across a variety of sectors.

As a Senior Air Quality Consultant, you will oversee dispersion modelling, air quality impact assessments, and regulatory compliance projects for transport, residential, and infrastructure schemes. You will work closely with developers, planners, and regulators, ensuring the highest standards of delivery and supporting the growth of the Birmingham office.

Duties

• Leading the delivery of air quality consultancy projects across the UK
• Managing dispersion modelling, EIA chapters, and impact assessments
• Producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Mentoring junior consultants and supporting business development

Skills and Experience

• 4+ years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation
• Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance
• Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related field
• Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards desirable
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence
