About the Team: The Energy Analytics team at ICIS comprises over 50 employees located across various offices and regions. Team members will have expertise in certain commodities (e.g. power, gas, carbon etc).

There is a variety of experiences amongst the team with backgrounds including research, engineering and economics. Analysts work closely with colleagues in other functions, regions and time zones.

The open position will be based in Europe, preferably in our London headquarters, Karlsruhe, Germany, or Gallarate, Italy. The role will involve coming to the office on a hybrid basis to work and connect with colleagues in person. The role will also involve regular interactions with colleagues and clients in different regions and time zones.

About the Role: The role is for a Senior Analyst to join our fast-growing Power Analytics team, which is focussed on quantifying and analysing European power markets on a mid- and long-term timeframe.

Working closely with colleagues in other teams, including gas and carbon analytics, as well as the power editorial team, you will primarily be responsible for writing forward-looking content on European power markets.

You will also be responsible for working directly with clients to help them better understand power markets and explain the assumptions behind the modelling and our expectations for market developments.

In addition, you will work closely with colleagues on the quantitative side of the power analytics team to enhance our modelling capabilities, ensure all assumptions are regularly updated, and contribute towards new product development.

As a Senior Analyst, you will have demonstrable professional experience in the energy sector, preferably in a trading arm of a utility, oil & gas company, consultancy or analytics provider.
