Salary London: £81,999 - £91,110
Salary Edinburgh: £70,929 - £78,810
Hours: Full-time

Hybrid working is available with at least two days per week (or 40%) in the London or Edinburgh office.

About this opportunity

Everyday Banking is a key platform for Lloyds Banking Group with a very broad reach across the Bank’s customer base and a diverse stakeholder group. The platform is responsible for the end-to-end journeys for personal current accounts and savings products to consumers and providing a market leading customer experience through the servicing of Debit and Credit cards through multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Specialising in Android, you'll work as a software engineer in a self-organised feature team with a focus on delivering exciting customer experiences and engineering excellence.

• Lead by example by being a hands-on contributor to the codebase and providing oversight and feedback via pull requests.

• Be at the heart of delivery in your team building features with a passion for evolving best practices within your community.

• Work with the product and engineering leads to achieve the vision and customer outcomes for your Lab, through writing well-factored and tested code.

• Be curious about technology and understanding how things work. You'll influence positively demonstrating the right values and behaviours as we improve how we deliver.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills with solid experience using Kotlin and modern toolsets like Git, Android Studio, JUnit, Espresso and Jenkins

• Diverse technical experience and a proven ability to deliver high quality applications at scale. Strong knowledge of security patterns and best practice advantageous.

• You’re able to effectively communicate and work together across engineering to maximise inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste.

• You’re an advocate for quality and can leverage approaches such as CI/CD, Pair Programming, TDD and BDD

What you’ll get to learn

• Working in the public cloud domain at scale, primarily with GCP

• Solving real world problems and being comfortable working in a complex regulated environment
