Senior Applications Engineer, New Business Intake and Conflicts We have an opening for a Senior Applications Engineer (New Business Intake and Conflicts). Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, the Senior Applications Engineer acts as the IT owner of several applications and platforms owned by the firm’s New Business Intake and Conflicts. These include Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls, Terms, and related systems and tools. This is a highly skilled technical position responsible for helping the business extend the use of these tools and ensuring their health, security, and stability. They will also help lead efforts to migrate our risk platform to the cloud and work with the business in setting strategy around new capabilities made available. This position can be hybrid, or remote with proximity to the London office location.
IT owner of all applications and systems supporting the risk and compliance activities of the firm, in particular, Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls, and Terms; Lead efforts to plan and migrate our existing on‑premise instance of the Intapp platform to the cloud. Identify new capabilities that can support the business; Be able to speak the language of the conflicts and intake team in order to perform analysis of processes, application features and configurations; Closely engage with local business stakeholders to understand and provide solutions to their needs; Deliver recommendations to the business and IT leadership based on an understanding of the platform, roadmap and related business drivers; Build, maintain and advance a strong relationship with Intapp to have them provide product features and bug fixes we want; Work on application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and roadmaps; Provide direct oversight and management of various solutions as assigned. Ensure the health and stability of all solutions owned; Monitor, track, and report on performance and capacity. Responsible for capacity planning; Work with the relevant IT teams in developing and delivering enhancements and new capabilities. Drive and manage those efforts; Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation for use by both engineering teams and support staff; Adhere to and participate in IT’s Change Management, SDLC and incident management processes; Collaborates in the creation and use of training and Quality Assurance materials and activities for applications; Provides coaching to junior analysts, and coordinates with team members on‑site, off‑site and off‑shore; Work with Quality Assurance on test scripts, procedures, and remediation.
Possess strong communication, organization, negotiation, critical thinking, and leadership skills as well as exceptional customer and collaboration abilities; Strong understanding of Intapp configuration tools including Forms, Workflows and data sets; Knowledge of cloud systems including features, integrations, and release management; Knowledge of system integrations including APIs, web services, FTP, and database to database; Knowledge of AI and GenAI and how they apply to the applications we manage and others available in the legal industry as well as broader IT landscape; Ability to work with SQL Server, SQL development/queries and reporting tools; Ability to work with project management on plans, tasks and resource management and tools such as Confluence and JIRA; Familiarity with security best practices and procedures; Familiarity with data governance best practices and procedures; Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills that non‑technical end users can understand; and Must be highly effective within a collaborative environment.
At least 7 years of information technology experience required; At least 5 years of experience working with and supporting enterprise platforms required; At least 3 years of Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls and Terms experience and equivalent working with risk and compliance solutions required; At least 3 years of executive level engagement and customer service preferred; At least 3 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment preferred; At least 3 years of experience working with cloud/SaaS solutions.
