Responsibilities
- Research planning: Partner with consulting and research colleagues to develop robust research plans with milestones and deliverables to maximise client satisfaction.
- Briefing researchers: Clearly brief research colleagues to access relevant data sources; conduct primary research per agreed terms and provide constructive feedback to improve outputs.
- Formulating client-ready output: Review and develop primary and secondary research into concise, readable client-ready slide decks and email notifications detailing key findings and actionable implications.
- Project team and client interaction: Coordinate agendas and take minutes in internal meetings and participate in external meetings with colleagues and clients.
- Conference coverage: Attend UK and international conferences, engage with key opinion leaders and commercial sources, and produce clear, concise summaries of findings.
- Workshop support: Contribute to workshop materials and assist facilitators on the day where required.
- Commercial awareness: Develop understanding of project scoping and profitability to shape approach to deliverables and build awareness of external market and industry trends.
- Business development: Help create proposal materials and pitches; represent the company at events and in thought pieces where appropriate.
- Quality control and colleague development: Review work, coach colleagues, and coordinate efforts to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Continuous improvement: Contribute to more effective and efficient ways of working aligned with CHR strategy and culture.
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in life sciences. Typically, 18–24 months’ experience in competitive intelligence or a related consultancy path, with demonstrable capability and achievements valued over tenure.
- Skills: Planning and prioritisation; IT proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; primary and secondary research skills; analytical ability to translate research into client-ready outputs; strong written and verbal communication with a clear narrative; attention to detail.
- Behaviours: Collaborative, solution-focused, critical thinking, growth mindset, inclusive and empowering attitude, proactivity, and motivation to develop specialist expertise in therapeutics and data sources.
- Other: Flexibility and willingness to travel to cover conferences in the UK and overseas as required.
