Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Employment Associate (5+ years PQE) to join our client’s outstanding employment practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead on a wide variety of employment matters, including employment litigation, tribunal management, corporate advisory work, and corporate support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage employment-related litigation, representing clients in employment tribunals and other dispute forums.
- Provide expert employment advisory services to corporate clients, ensuring compliance with evolving employment laws and best practices.
- Support M&A transactions with employment law guidance, including due diligence, post-deal integration, and employee matters.
- Develop and implement practical solutions to complex employment law issues, tailored to meet clients’ needs.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice through business development and marketing initiatives.
About You:
- You will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in employment law.
- You will have a strong background in employment litigation and advisory work, with a demonstrable track record of managing complex, high-profile matters.
- A comprehensive understanding of employment law in Northern Ireland, coupled with the ability to apply it to a wide range of business contexts.
- You will have the confidence to lead on client matters, taking ownership of cases and projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills are essential.
- A strong team player, able to collaborate with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Previous experience in a leading law firm or in-house team would be beneficial, although not essential.
