Overview

Senior Associate - ESG & Sustainability Consulting — London Hybrid Up to 85k. Drive ESG transformation for some of the most influential investors and developers in real estate. This role leads from the front, shapes the market, and supports transitioning assets to a net zero and climate-resilient future. As a Senior Associate, you will combine strategic ESG expertise with hands-on leadership of a 10+ person team, delivering solutions across fund, portfolio and asset level. You will work directly with senior client stakeholders, win new business, and play a central role in growing the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of ESG strategies and frameworks for top-tier real estate investors, asset managers, and developers.
  • Oversee reporting and compliance for CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, GRESB and GRI, helping clients stay ahead of regulation.
  • Act as a trusted senior advisor, guiding clients through material ESG issues, climate-related risks, and net zero pathways.
  • Take ownership of business development, expanding accounts, winning new clients, and shaping innovative service lines.
  • Manage financial performance, budgets, and resourcing for a growing portfolio of ESG projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10+ consultants, inspiring the next generation of ESG leaders.
  • Represent the consultancy as a thought leader, bringing market insights and best practice into client engagements.

About You

  • A seasoned ESG or sustainability professional with 10+ years\' experience, ideally with real estate or financial sector clients.
  • Strong track record in growing accounts, securing new work, and developing new services.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire large teams (10+ consultants).
  • Deep technical knowledge of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (GRESB, CSRD, SFDR, TCFD, GRI, EU Taxonomy).
  • Commercially astute, with experience in budget management, forecasting, and client account leadership.
  • A natural communicator, able to influence at board level and build trust with senior stakeholders.
  • Degree in sustainability, engineering, real estate or related discipline; professional membership (RICS, IEMA, CEnv) desirable.
