The opportunity

This role is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a highly regarded national firm, work with a high calibre client base from the outset, and work closely with our nationally renowned Education team, which is ranked Tier 1 and receives outstanding recognition from clients, endorsed by individual rankings in Chambers and Legal 500. In addition to Education work, there will also be opportunities to get involved in other non-contentious construction matters from our other sectors, particularly in the Charity and Business Sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively manage an individual caseload and delegate to and supervise junior team members as required.
• Foster relationships with existing and new clients and ensure excellent service.
• Work in a collegiate and collaborative way within the immediate team and wider firm environment.
• Carry out work to the highest standard, having regard to the Firm's standards, procedures and core values.
• Collaborate with the Business Development & Marketing Team to develop the Firm's reputation and client base.

Ongoing learning is a key part of a career at Stone King, including workshops and seminars for internal and external clients on key areas of law.

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with good experience in non-contentious construction matters.
• Experience supervising others.
• Potential to market the firm with an interest in business development (e.g., attending seminars, networking events, presenting workshops, participating in pitches/tenders).
• Evidence of diversity and experience in the construction and infrastructure sector.
• Strong commitment to career development and further learning.

Desirable

• Qualifications in construction; senior membership of a chartered professional institution (MRICS, MCIOB or similar).
• Experience in Education, Charity and Public Sectors funding would be advantageous.
• Specialist qualifications in Alternative Dispute Resolution (arbitration and adjudication); membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators would be advantageous.
