The roleA successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of high-net-worth private clients, including trusts, partnerships, and non-UK domiciliaries. The role involves preparing tax returns, business tax and CGT computations, responding to client queries, and liaising with HM Revenue & Customs regarding client affairs.This position offers a broad range of work for individuals with a background in tax compliance who wish to expand their experience within a dedicated private client firm serving a diverse client base.YouKey characteristics and skills required include:Self-motivated, committed, flexible team player with a positive attitude, capable of working towards challenging targets and deadlines.Experience managing the compliance affairs of a client portfolio, reporting to a portfolio manager.Support experience in delivering ad hoc advisory work related to clients.Ability to use initiative and solve problems effectively.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.Confident in communicating with clients, intermediaries, and internal departments to gather tax return information.Strong IT skills.The teamThe Tax Services Group North (TSGN) comprises over 50 employees across four UK offices—Edinburgh, Inverness, Leeds, and Manchester.
