Senior AWS Data Engineer - Manchester - Salary £80,000 + Bonus
The Company:
Lorien Global are working in partnership with an organisation based in Manchester whom are embarking on a transformation of how the business uses Data. As this team is growing significantly we\'re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to come and develop their new Group BI Solution.
The Role:
Your responsibility will cover the smooth migration of their existing on-premise SQL solution into a greenfield AWS Platform. As a Senior Engineer within the team, you\'ll be tasked with leading the existing team members who will be upskilling in the new technology.
This is a genuine opportunity to join a business going through an enormous data transformation, this section will be integral to the foundation data work, leading through to the exciting advanced ML and AI integration. Due to the scale and complexity of the data platform, it\'s essential that you\'ve come from a similar environment.
The Skill Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of AWS Data Platforms, with services such as AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, etc.
- Good understanding of management principles for data pipelines and ETL
- Good Python and PySpark
- Use of SQL Data platforms
- If you have experience migrating from an on-premise to cloud based solution this would be a bonus
- Excellent cross-team collaboration skills
- Ability to train and mentor other team members
The Benefits:
- Salary £80,000

- Hybrid working form central Manchester (2 days in the office a week)
