Are you a strategic storyteller with a passion for brand transformation and public influence? The Royal Kennel Club is seeking a visionary Senior Brand PR and Communications Manager to lead our rebrand and elevate our voice across the UK.

About the Role

As we reposition The Royal Kennel Club into a premium, heritage-led brand, you'll lead the development and delivery of a compelling PR and communications strategy that:

  • Launches and embeds our new brand identity
  • Drives advocacy and reappraisal across diverse audiences
  • Delivers high-impact, lifestyle-first campaigns across TV, radio, print, and digital
  • Positions our leaders as trusted voices in dog welfare, breeding, and responsible ownership
  • Leads PR for flagship events like Crufts, with full media planning and on-site support
  • Aligns omnichannel storytelling with acquisition, retention, and conversion goals
  • Builds influencer and celebrity strategies to amplify earned media

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Developing thought leadership content and securing speaking opportunities
  • Managing crisis communications and safeguarding brand reputation
  • Leading integrated campaigns with SEO-friendly, digital-first executions
  • Cultivating media relationships and activating high-impact coverage
  • Tracking performance against OKRs and reporting to senior leadership
  • Driving innovation through experiential PR and stakeholder toolkits

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years in strategic communications, PR, and media relations
  • Proven experience leading rebrands or repositioning heritage organisations
  • Strong background in omnichannel campaigns and digital-first storytelling
  • Editorial and content creation skills across multiple platforms
  • Experience in thought leadership, influencer strategy, and agency management
  • Robust understanding of brand strategy and commercial impact tracking
  • Experience in the pet industry or similar lifestyle sectors (Desirable)
  • CIPR/PRCA qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or PR (Desirable)
