You will be working in a statutory department with very strict deadlines.
The role involves making sometimes difficult phone calls with distressed customers. Hybrid working is available on a rota basis, with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at County Hall, Lewes. This can be discussed further at interview.
Required skills:
- Strong ICT and MS Office skills – Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with LiquidLogic is an advantage.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate with parents, schools, and professionals.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands, switching between tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent time management.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Resilience, especially when liaising with customers by phone.
- Appropriate assertiveness.
This assignment is expected to last up to 12 weeks while recruiting for permanent staff, but may be slightly shorter depending on recruitment progress.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
