Senior Business Analyst (Data) - Contract

Senior Business Analyst Contractor (Investment industry experience with good data knowledge) – Edinburgh – Contract opportunity - Hybrid

Evolve IT Recruitment is currently recruiting for Senior Business Analysts contractors for one of our clients based in Edinburgh; the project involves the delivery of a highly scalable data model that will meet both current and future business needs. Working alongside external vendors the project’s aim is to deliver a single point of clarity across pricing, entity, and security data – reducing manual processes and increasing data security through high levels of data governance.

Your background will demonstrate excellent business analysis and data analysis skills and you will have previously worked in both data architecture and data governance – you will be used to working with technology teams across an organisation (such as Developers, PM’s, Product Owners etc.) and will have excellent stakeholder management experience. As the role interacts with 3rd parties extensively any demonstrable experience working with vendors is highly advantageous.

Experience required

- Extensive background in business analysis and data analysis

- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments

- Good knowledge of investment industry data providers such as Bloomberg, ICE, Reuters, LSEG

- Strong investments industry knowledge in areas such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, and funds

- BDD experience

- Good understanding of the Software Developer Life Cycle (SDLC)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
