Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development professional to join our team, with a clear path into a Commercial Manager role within 12 months. This is a senior sales role focused on growing our market share in the UK property and construction sector, driving both your own sales and enabling others to succeed through sector strategy, relationship development, and market presence.

You will combine “hands-on” business development with sector leadership, building strong client and intermediary relationships, delivering impactful campaigns, and representing the firm at key industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Drive new business in the property and construction sector through direct outreach, networking, and sector campaigns.

Build and execute a personal sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Develop and maintain relationships with developers, investors, occupiers, and key intermediaries such as surveyors, solicitors, and accountants.

Sector Strategy & Growth

Shape and deliver a sector-specific commercial strategy aligned to business priorities.

Work closely with marketing and leadership teams to design and run targeted campaigns.

Use CRM insights to track progress, inform decisions, and ensure accountability.

Market Presence & Thought Leadership

Represent the firm at property and tax-related events, conferences, and webinars.

Deliver presentations and thought leadership to promote our services and build brand credibility.

Collaboration & Coaching

Collaborate with consultants and technical specialists to spot and convert opportunities.

Coach client-facing colleagues on commercial best practices and sector insights.

About You

Proven track record in business development or commercial leadership within professional services, property, construction, or related sectors.

Strong “hunter” mentality — confident in generating and converting your own leads.

Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Experience delivering sector-specific sales strategies and campaigns.

Skilled networker with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Comfortable using CRM and data insights to drive performance.
