Overview
The Commercial discipline is responsible for driving business growth, managing partnerships, and providing industry subject matter expertise and advisory to both clients and internal teams. This strategic and consultative team creates meaningful relationships with clients through their combined knowledge of IT services and industry trends and pain points.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted advisor selling IT Professional Services to potential clients to showcase capability and build long-standing relationships.
- Identify potential target clients through lead generation strategies, cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
- Execute an end-to-end client sales cycle from acquisition to closing and revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads aligned with sales goals.
- Negotiate, manage, and close strategic new business deals.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Apply deep industry knowledge to become the SME on technology challenges within your vertical.
- Grow your book-of-business and leverage a commission model to achieve uncapped earnings.
- Participate as a thought leader in speaking events, workshops, panels, and conferences.
- Participate in external industry events.
Qualifications
- Significant new business development experience selling offshore/nearshore IT Professional Services.
- Strong experience in the Technology industry with understanding of trends and challenges.
- Existing warm network of contacts and/or customers in Technology.
- Experience leading strategic new business development initiatives for large enterprise opportunities.
- Hunter-centric, sales-driven with prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, presenting, negotiating, closing, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage VP or C-level decision-makers by identifying industry pain points.
- Self-motivated and driven to exceed targets.
- Demonstrated success in new business development with a track record of quota achievement (e.g., £5M+ per year).
- Experience preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, and statements of work.
Additional Requirements
- Travel locally, within country, and internationally as needed; valid passport and ability to travel during working hours.
- Work-related tradeshows or live events may require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
