We are looking for someone with proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer, creatively delivering product development of multi-category men’s and women’s wear. You will have significant responsibility for a sizeable and fast-growing product area within Harding+. Reporting to the Category Manager, you will ensure category performance is optimized, working collaboratively with Merchandising to meet sales, margin, and profit KPIs.
Based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 3 days per week on site.
Compensation: competitive salary, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare cash plan, 26 days annual leave (plus the opportunity to buy an additional 5 days).
What you will be doing:
- Build a commercial multi-product range that meets guests' needs across various demographics.
- Deliver a range of products that meet departmental KPIs.
- Drive new initiatives and product innovations, particularly across sustainability.
- Analyze and report on range performance weekly; work with Merchandising to actively trade the department’s profitability, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Lead and manage a team focused on critical path management, delivering consistent product availability and system accuracy.
- Encourage creative and innovative thinking on product and in-store presentation.
- Present and support external stakeholder meetings.
- Implement sourcing strategies and manage the supply base to meet new requirements and source solutions to protect the route to market.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain and conduct supplier reviews.
- Maximize key trading periods ensuring critical path is in place to optimize sales.
- Confidently present to internal and external stakeholders at Director and Board levels.
- Build marketing calendar in collaboration with the Marketing team.

- Excellent creative buying ability coupled with strong analytical and commercial skills.
- Proven team leadership, management, and development skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Must have an existing right to work in the UK.
