Overview
As a Senior Buyer, you'll take ownership, drive collaboration, and make a meaningful impact every day—working closely with our procurement team and supply base to deliver real results that shape the future of our business. Day-to-day, you'll:
- Lead the development and execution of procurement and supply chain strategies across key projects, delivering smart contract solutions that enable successful project outcomes.
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and manage supplier relationships through effective contract management, performance tracking, and collaboration.
- Design and optimise the project supply base to meet business needs, exceed functional KPIs, and unlock value opportunities.
- Act as the supply chain voice in programme reviews, providing clear updates and insights to stakeholders across the business.
- Build strong supplier partnerships through regular site visits, ensuring progress, quality, and long-term collaboration.
- Based at our Bristol office for 2 days per week, with flexible hybrid working patterns available. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Procurement and Supply Chain role, ideally within Defence, Manufacturing, or Engineering—though we welcome strong candidates from other sectors.
- A self-starter with a proactive mindset and the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Skilled at building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education; provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn, we would like to hear from you.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
