Senior Buyer - Sole Buyer Opportunity

Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as the Senior Buyer for a growing engineering business? This is a unique opportunity to be the sole Buyer in the company - owning the purchasing process from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design and engineering teams to source mechanical components, raw materials, and assemblies, ensuring critical parts are delivered on time and to specification.
• Read engineering drawings and bridge the gap between technical detail and supplier capability.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate competitive terms, and drive supply chain performance.
• Become a trusted partner to the business through adaptability and technical understanding.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing for engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and communicate with suppliers effectively.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Technical understanding and problem-solving mindset to support delivery, quality, and cost goals.
