About the Role

Title: Senior Buyer

Sector: Manufacturing

Location: Lincolnshire / Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days from home)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + an additional benefits package

Sea Global is partnering with an industry-leading manufacturing business, a household name in its field.

The role is within the Procurement function, which focuses on cost efficiency, vendor performance, and end-to-end procurement. We seek professionals eager to advance the procurement function through strategic category management.

You will be involved in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and stakeholder collaboration, working closely with other procurement experts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category-specific sourcing strategies
• Manage tenders and vendor proposals (e.g., RFI, RFP, e-sourcing)
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business needs
• Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures

Requirements

• Proven procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, or related services
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing and tendering processes
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• CIPS qualification or working towards it (beneficial but not essential)
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex information
