Overview Senior Civil Engineer – Property Division at BWB Consulting Ltd. You will play a key role in delivering a wide variety of consultancy services to a diverse client base across the UK, from inception through to commissioning. You’ll provide engineering expertise across multiple sectors and be at the heart of the team. What You’ll Be Doing
Take ownership of challenging projects, leading the preliminary and detailed design of levels, drainage and external works in both public (adoptable) and private realms. Supervise and manage the delivery of multiple projects, occasionally leading small teams with delegated authority from the Team Leader or Principal Engineer. Build and maintain excellent relationships with existing clients while showcasing our capabilities to new ones. Mentor and support Graduates and Engineers, while continuing your own professional growth. Lead by example – demonstrating professionalism, diligence and a passion for knowledge-sharing across the team.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in Civil Engineering design – particularly in levels, drainage and external works. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or PDS with a willingness to train on Civil 3D), MicroDrainage and Microsoft Office. Experience of managing complex projects through planning to completion, liaising with planning authorities, statutory undertakers and national bodies like the Environment Agency. A collaborative mindset, with an understanding of other disciplines and a desire to develop project coordination skills. Commercial awareness, with developing influencing and negotiating skills, plus the ability to nurture new and existing client relationships. Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with the adaptability to engage different audiences. The ability to delegate effectively, mentor others and foster a supportive, high-performing team culture.
