Role
To provide support as required to financial advisers or consultants to enable the provision of financial or product advice to clients, as set out within the FCA’s rules and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Help Advisers prepare for client reviews by maintaining up-to-date client and plan information on IO.
- Request plan information from providers (by post, email or direct from the provider platform) and chase to ensure receipt in time for the meeting; upload to IO when received.
- Update contributions and withdrawals using the transaction history from each provider; link transfers within plans.
- Add details of any missing policy information to IO as required.
- Validate funds held within IO, ensuring unit balances are correct and price feeds pull through to produce an accurate plan value.
- Check income expectations on client plans and update as required.
- Collate costs and charges information for client plans, including income from commissions, fund-based or adviser charges.
- Use standard templates within IO to create and check the client valuation report and upload to IO.
- Produce any OneNote packs requested by advisers (Client Charter, FE Analytics research on funds, KID documents, data capture forms, Client Valuation Report).
- Produce comparisons between old and new centralised investment propositions; prepare cases for submission to the AST team by completing plan information checklists and chasing providers for missing plan information via phone and email.
- If requested, check and validate client income expectations held within the system.
- Interrogate data and liaise with the adviser to ensure data accuracy so valuations and revenue match.
- Interact with advisers and client support to deliver excellent customer service; produce client letters as required.
- Answer incoming phone calls via the Main Hunt Group and ensure service levels are delivered in a timely manner.
- Deal efficiently with day-to-day telephone and email enquiries from clients and providers; create and maintain effective client files.
- Process new business applications and liaise with product providers as needed; keep up to date with product, technical or legislative changes.
- Always comply with Compliance policies; engage with training and development as applicable.
- Highlight procedures and processes that do not adhere to TCF/RCR and propose improvements to TCF/RCR practices within the department.
- Adhere to consumer duty.
Requirements
- Relevant experience supporting an Adviser
- Previous regulatory or financial industry experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Methodical and organised
- Computer literate
- Accurate with good attention to detail
- Customer focused
- Drives forward service excellence
- Collaborative and a team player
- Maths and English GCSE, grade 5 or above, or equivalent
