This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sheffield Healthy Minds Mental Health Support Team, an innovative project delivering early intervention, prevention, and trauma-informed care in partnership with local schools. We're looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical leadership, helping shape and deliver our offer to educational settings across Sheffield.
About You: You are an experienced Clinical Psychologist with:
Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology with HCPC registration
Experience in CAMHS and applying psychological theory in practice
A collaborative approach to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
A proactive mindset and confidence managing change in a developing service
Reporting into the Clinical Lead (Healthy Minds), your responsibilities will include:
Lead a team of mental health professionals delivering school-based interventions
Provide clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care
Work with Senior Mental Health Leads in schools to enhance emotional wellbeing provision
Offer consultation, reflective practice, and clinical supervision to team members
Deliver training to school staff and partner agencies
Undertake direct therapeutic work with children and young people
Apply psychological theory and evidence-based approaches to create tailored interventions
Support workforce development through clinical training and reflective practice
Lead on audits, service evaluations, and project management in collaboration with educational staff

Person Specification Qualifications and Training Essential- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology D Clin Psych as accredited by the BPS.
- Further specialist supervision in specific psychological approaches
- Registration with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist
- Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision (EMHP Supervisor Course)
- Qualification in supervision of practitioners in delivering psychotherapies.
- Further training in a range of psychotherapeutic approaches relevant to the service area.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions with children and young people with psychological and mental health problems and their families in health settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of child mental health problems across the full age range, reflecting all levels of severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse
- Extensive clinical experience working in CAMHS services with at least 3 years' experience post qualification in a senior position.
- Experience of developing and delivering specialised treatment packages with individuals and groups/families.
- Experience in the supervision of psychological practitioners
- Experience in the supervision of psychological practitioners
- Substantial experience in teaching or training others
- Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts.
- Experience of working within educational settings or education
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
- Experience of applying psychological theory and evidence-based practices to develop tailored interventions.

- Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
