This includes supporting the deployment of virtual servers, storage systems, databases, middleware components, and other cloud infrastructure components, ensuring alignment with NHS standards and industry best practices.Provide technical leadership and play a key role in implementing advanced security measures to protect cloud server and platform environments and sensitive data. This may involve implementing access controls, encryption technologies, and monitoring systems to mitigate cybersecurity risks and ensure compliance with NHS security policies and regulations.Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of cloud server and platform infrastructure through participation in projects and initiatives aimed at improving system performance, scalability, and reliability.Support the delivery of healthcare services to patients and staff within the NHS by ensuring robust, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud capabilities with NHS standards and industry best practices.Qualifications & experienceExperience as a Senior Cloud Platform/Server Engineer with design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud environments.Proficiency across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and automation/IaC approaches.Strong focus on security, access controls, encryption, monitoring, and NHS security policies and regulations.Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, optimise performance, and drive reliability in healthcare cloud deployments.Experience working in fast-paced environments and collaborating with IT and clinical teams.About the organisationThe Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester.
