Job Title: Senior / Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors - Rail

We are currently seeking personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Senior / Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors with Rail experience to join our contract and cost management team. This role supports our ongoing growth and aims to make a difference to both our business and UK infrastructure.

You will be a Senior / Cost Manager within our UK Infrastructure division, embedded in a client office, working on a Rail project or programme.

We support hybrid working and embrace a forward-thinking approach to work.

Job Objectives:

1. Administer a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
2. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion within budget.
3. Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.
4. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
5. Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects adhere to governance and best practices.
6. Drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy; SOX control responsibilities may be included, to be followed where applicable.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or a degree qualification preferred.
• Successful experience delivering rail projects in a commercial environment.
• Experience in mentoring and management.
• Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract.
• Experience resolving contractual disputes.
• At least 5 years' relevant railway and/or construction experience.
• Ability to work independently on contracts.
