Overview

Senior Commercial Underwriter (Highly Prestigious Insurer) – Leeds. Permanent role in General Insurance; location: Leeds, Yorkshire & Humberside. Salary: negotiable with a 25% bonus and benefits. Hybrid work model: 2 days from home. Start date: ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal cases for the portfolio, with a focus on Social Welfare / Care where training is provided if not already experienced.
• Collaborate with Claims; maintain strong relationships with the Technical department and the wider business.
• Provide excellent service to brokers; prioritise renewals and mid-term adjustments to meet deadlines.
• Participate in interesting projects and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Extensive underwriting experience in Property and/or Liability is required.
• Experience in Social Welfare / Care is not essential due to full training; however, familiarity is beneficial.
• Applications are welcome from current Senior Underwriters or Commercial Underwriters seeking to progress to a Senior Underwriter role.
