Senior Company Secretarial Assistant (Senior Consultant, Professional Services)
Join Computershare UK as a senior company secretarial assistant based in Bristol or London with a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of listed plc and IPO client engagements.
Advise clients on listed plc requirements, compliance, governance, and transaction related matters.
Develop subject matter market insights, technical knowledge and service delivery templates, processes, tools, and materials.
Mentor and develop junior team members.
Attend client and Computershare hosted industry events.
Keep up to date of internal and external influences to shape continuous growth and development of the EGC business.
Train and support junior colleagues in all aspects of listed company compliance and governance.
Provide support to listed company boards and committees, including attendance at meetings.
Ensure compliance with all continuing obligations such as Listing Rules and DTRs, Regulatory and Company Law requirements.
Organise and manage shareholder meetings including preparation of all relevant notices and meeting documentation.
Prepare and file relevant statutory filings and regulatory filings (Companies House, FCA, NSM).
Provide regulatory announcements using RIS portals.
Draft non-financial sections of Annual and Half Year Reports and Accounts.
Maintain corporate registers and insider lists.
Co‑ordinate board and committee annual evaluations.
Monitor directors’ interests and conflicts of interest.
Liaise with third‑party advisers such as the client’s registrar, broker and legal advisors.
Required Qualifications
Good company secretarial knowledge and corporate governance experience.
Experience working in a Professional Services environment beneficial.
Strong people, team working and communication skills.
Organised with strong project management skills.
Awareness of legal, regulatory and governance trends and developments.
An eye for detail and ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
Strong written English, numeracy, analytical and comprehension skills.
Resilient and composed under pressure, proactive, self‑motivated.
Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and experience of using legal entity management technology.
Qualified or pursuing a CGC qualification.
