Senior Consultant Global Benefits

Amsterdam | €8,000 - €10,740 | 38.75 hours/week

Do you thrive on helping multinationals design compelling, data-driven employee benefits strategies? Ready to lead strategic client conversations, expand accounts, and mentor the next generation of consultants in a diverse, international team? This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Amsterdam office.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

  • Lead strategic engagements for multinational clients across People Risk and Global Benefits, translating data into decisions and outcomes.
  • Orchestrate the management of insured benefit plans globally and optimize spend through local renewals, multinational pooling, global underwriting, and (where appropriate) EB captives.
  • Partner closely with colleagues in Wellbeing, Pay Transparency and EVP, and collaborate across Aon (e.g., Talent Assessment and Compensation) to bring integrated solutions.
  • Guide analysts/consultants to deliver high-quality outputs on time; set the bar on methodology, client deliverables, and ways of working.
  • Drive commercial growth: expand existing relationships, win new clients, shape go-to-market approaches, and represent Aon at relevant market events.

How this opportunity is different

You’ll have international exposure working with clients and Aon teams across the world, with the autonomy to shape solutions and market presence. Our close-knit Amsterdam team operates within a broader EMEA network, creating a multicultural environment with real scope to make your mark.

The local team comprises ~14 colleagues (including 4 in Spain) who value collaboration, sparring, and initiative.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10–20 years’ relevant experience in consulting (ideally benefits/international HR) or the (global) employee benefits insurance market.
  • Hands-on expertise with multinational pooling, global underwriting, and EB captives.
  • Proven client leadership & business development—able to grow portfolios, build internal/external networks, and act at senior stakeholder level.
  • People leadership mindset—coaching and developing juniors, setting structure in ambiguity, and elevating team performance.
  • Excellent communication in English and Dutch, with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn numbers into narratives.

What’s in it for you

We offer an agile, inclusive environment that supports your wellbeing and work/life balance. All colleagues enjoy two Global Wellbeing Days each year; our continuous learning culture enables you to learn, share and grow. We provide a variety of working style solutions—because flexibility goes beyond place of work.
