The Post

The SWAN Authority team within NHS NSS is recruiting a senior consultant to lead on various aspects of the SWAN2 programme. Working within the technical team, the postholder will focus on driving innovation within the contract to overcome technical hurdles and help SWAN member organisations realise the maximum benefit from the SWAN contract. The postholder will engage with NHS boards and other SWAN members (including the Scottish Government, local councils and other public sector organisations), providing technical consultancy and advice for SWAN products and services. The postholder will also interact with the SWAN 2 supplier (BT) on a daily basis to ensure deliverables progress satisfactorily.

The Candidate

Applications are invited from individuals who have experience in providing consultancy in an innovation- or technical-focused capacity. The candidate should have significant experience in networks, security or general IT services and effectively managing stakeholders and suppliers. The successful applicant should be a self-starter with strong customer focus and communication skills, as well as a broad technical aptitude.

Location and Working Pattern

Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow. Currently hybrid working. Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
