Senior Consultant - Retail - Suppy Chain - Buying/Merch Change
New Yesterday
Overview
Our client is a UK management consulting success story. Started 20 years ago, with the aim to be the honest and trusted firm to the retail industry, the company has grown to 80 full time consultants all focused on retail change and transformation. Powered by a diverse leadership team, with a strong female contingent, the business has become one of the market leaders in change, training and transformation across broad supply chain projects in retail. The firm's heartland is doing the 'change' aspects of big ERP replacements... helping retailers go on the journey. This could be a FTSE 100 firm or a boutique online retailer, a supermarket or a local hotel chain. They offer a real experience to their clients, with carefully selected teams of talent which customers really value.
One USP for the firm is its entrepreneurial roots. The CEO has spent much of her career winning work off the 'big firms' and this entrepreneurial culture is what the company is all about; Partners are known for being exceptional delivery people whilst spotting opportunities and building their networks. Senior consultants are given responsibility to lead and to learn; this is not a box ticking role!
We are looking for talented consultants interested to continue to build their career in retail or consumer consulting. We are also interested in intellectually curious and career minded folks in retail directly, who have driven change and who might like to take a new direction.
This is a firm with little red tape and an open-mindedness to people from different backgrounds.
What we are looking for
Tier 1 consulting experience or exceptional 'delivery' in retail directly
Good supply chain experience, ideally in buying the merchandising areas
Experience working in ERP change environments (Oracle retail, D365/Dynamics, SAP etc.)
Change leadership - whether it be end to end process design, change impact assessments, building change centres of excellence, training strategy, change implementation... this firm works across the softer sides of change, getting hands dirty and delivering results
Leadership skills - ability to influence senior clients
Team leadership - ability to lead a team and motivate others
A passion for retail - this firm lives and breathes retail
Independent thinkers - the company does not 'sell' solutions - this is about coming up with ideas and approaches for individual clients; this can mean saying no!
Work is client driven though currently many projects are remote working.
Office is Mayfair and ideally the consultant will travel in to the office from home a number of times throughout the year
